Fostering an open and active German-American community
There's always something happening in the context of our statewide efforts to welcome American families to their new home away from home:
- German-American celebrations,
- Recurring informal get-togethers,
- Distribution of welcome bags to new American families,
- Local cooking classes for Americans,
- City tours in English,
- and much more.
Take a look at the next events in this program and feel free to be a part of them!
Furthermore, our communities participating in this state program are making big efforts to support you as you settle in the local area by providing information in English about upcoming local events. This is meant to make it easier for you to know what's happening close to you and help you participate in community life. After all, your community strives for an open and active German-American relationship and wants to let you know that you're more than welcome to prosper as member of the community. Brown Bag Luncheon on Entrepreneurship - 09/30: 6 p.m.
We host the next installment of our Brown Bag Luncheon on Entrepreneurship on September 30, 6 p.m. at the restaurant Bauer Schmidt, Hauptstraße 45, 67685 Weilerbach. Are you interested in starting a business here in Germany? When entrepreneurs start a new business, it is usually synonymous with doing what they’re passionate about, being their own boss, and expecting financial gains. But as a business owner, you also face diverse challenges, especially during the starting phase. Knowing about the potential challenges when setting up and running a business can help avoid making common mistakes.
Martin Swierzy, Head Coach and CEO of INTERNATIONAL.FOUNDERS.TRAINING, will share his knowledge and experiences on what it takes to set up and run a business as an American entrepreneur on the German economy and will be ready to answer your questions. Afterward, there will be plenty of time to discuss the topic further and exchange views and experiences with like-minded business owners over a cup of coffee.
Admission is free, sign up via email to constance@atlantische-akademie.de.
The luncheon is part of an ongoing German-American discussion about how to support Americans and their businesses and business ideas.
